Happy Birthday, Joseph!

The Cotter Bridge wishes Joseph a very happy birthday! Joseph is the son of Brigitte Shipman, President of the Spectrum Connection Board. This celebration is especially fitting for Autism Awareness Month. Joseph was diagnosed with autism as a young child. At that time, there was very little information or resources available to better understand ways to assist Joseph in navigating his journey.
He served as Brigitte's inspiration to help other parents and families on their journey and to start the Spectrum Connection of Arkansas nonprofit. Brigitte and Joseph co-authored a book, "A Mother's Guide Through Autism" (https://www.mothersguidethroughautism.com/), that tells a story of the journey from a mother's perspective and from the son's.
