Autism is more common than you think

A lot of people still think autism is rare. Truth is, it's not.

Current estimates say roughly 1 in every 31 kids, and a good number of adults, are autistic. That means autism is already in our schools, workplaces, churches, and neighborhoods.

Some autistic folks need a lot of hands‑on help every day. Others may mainly need support with things like loud places, social situations, or staying organized.

Chances are, you already know at least one autistic person, you just might not know they're autistic. A little understanding on our end can make it a lot easier for them to be open about who they are.
