Cotter Bridge in May

Lighting Events
May 01, 2022 – May 31, 2022

Cotter in May is a delightful time.  We have many events at Big Spring Park and would love for you and your family and friends to join us!

  • Saturday, May 7th is the Cotter Trout Fest.  Plan to spend a fun day at Big Spring Park in Cotter.  Our famous parade kicks off the event, beginning at 9:00 am in Downtown Cotter.  The Trout Fest has food vendors, bands, the Duck Race, a Car Show, and much more.

  • Sunday, May 8th is Mother's Day.  The bridge will be celebrating moms everywhere with rose, pink, and magenta lighting.

  • Saturday, May 21 is the Arkansas Backyard Ultra.  Backyard ultra is a form of ultramarathon race where competitors must consecutively run the distance of 6706 meters (4.167 miles) in less than one hour. When each lap is completed, the remaining time within the hour is typically used to recover for the next hour's race.  Exactly one hour after a backyard ultra's first starting time, the competitors run an additional 6706 meters with a one-hour window for completion. These distance loops are repeated hourly. The race ends when the last runner or runners either concede or fail to finish the distance within the allotted time frame.  Read more:

  • Saturday, May 28th is the F3T; a spectacular festival on the banks of the White River in Cotter, built around the Fly Fishing Film Tour movies and a celebration of local fly fishing.  Food, craft brews, live music, local vendors.  Think Sundance Film Festival for fly fishing.  This is a global event.  Read more on this link
